In the music industry, image is always crucial to driving sales. However, you will often get artists like Ali Slater to quickly counter that while an image is important, she wants to be one of the torchbearers to change that, especially in the rock industry.

"You have to be able to take full responsibility when you are in the wrong, but you also have to know your worth and not tolerate unacceptable behavior from others."

Wanting to create a safe space where not only people can create the music they want to make without judgment, multi-genre/pop-rock artist Ali Slater wants to drive home the message on her latest EP LUS!D to love yourself first. While that takes work to accomplish at times to move away from external validation, perhaps the greatest reward is reaching the other side of that and the rebirth that stems from it.
