Coming off the release of his 2020 EP Seasoned Performer, multi-genre solo artist Hazkin has completed a brand new kaleidoscopic experience with the re-release of his EP and 5 brand new tracks, full-release, Master Peace.
If there were one way to describe solo artist Hazkin, it would be anything but ordinary. The musician's distinct style seamlessly fuses delicate and aggressive elements, masterfully infusing symphonic sounds with metallic and rap influences to create electrifying moments in their music. Written over a couple of years with many of the tracks already released as singles and an EP, up-and-coming alternative rap artist Hazkin has now taken the then EP and turned it into a full-album release, Master Peace. Originally titled Seasoned Performer as a track EP, Hazkin has taken the experience to another level, adding five additional tracks to his opulent alternative journey, with hints of rap and metal to spice up the dynamics of each listening experience.
Master Peace is a great little underground treat that shows fresh atmospheric experimentation with different genres with a willingness to explore and go beyond the traditional representations of rap-metal.
Track experience, "Hello," shows Hazkin going for the creative jugular, mixing gorgeous dulcet components and a diverse variety of vocal and lyrical skills in one hefty experience, providing a dramatic opener while keeping the door open for exciting moments to come.
Other moments that stand out within this album are the opulent multifaceted tracks "Pile of Bones" featuring Tollas and piano-driven "Black Magic." Each delivering a massive and orchestrally distinct flavor to the album, Hazkin is full of vim and vigor, showcasing that genres are not as spelled out by their singular parts but further defined by exploring the unknown that lies in each.
The album ends with melodically discordant finale tracks, "Go With The Flow" and "The Fountain of Youth." Displaying Haskin's overall talent for blending soft and contentious elements in one closing experience.
Master Peace is a great little underground treat that shows fresh atmospheric experimentation with different genres with a willingness to explore and go beyond the traditional representations of rap-metal. While this is Hazkin's first full-length album release in his solo career, it shows promise for what's to come in the future.
Master Peace debuts May 12th.
